EchoBASE is a database designed to contain and manipulate information from post-genomic experiments using the model bacterium Escherichia coli K-12. The database is built on an enhanced annotation of the updated genome sequence of strain MG1655 and the association of experimental data with the E.coli genes and their products.

A provider turns a local unique identifiers from a resource into a URI. Many providers are also resolvable as URLs (i.e., they can be used in a web browser).
The local unique identifier EB0170
is used to demonstrate the providers
available for EchoBASE post-genomic database for Escherichia coli. A guide for curating additional providers can be found
here.
Additional providers curated in the Bioregistry are listed here. These are typically inherited from Identifiers.org or Prefix Commons, and need extra curation.
