Norine is a database dedicated to nonribosomal peptides (NRPs). In bacteria and fungi, in addition to the traditional ribosomal proteic biosynthesis, an alternative ribosome-independent pathway called NRP synthesis allows peptide production. The molecules synthesized by NRPS contain a high proportion of nonproteogenic amino acids whose primary structure is not always linear, often being more complex and containing cycles and branchings.

Local identifiers in Nonribosomal Peptides Database should match this
regular expression:
^NOR\d+$
Compact URIs (CURIEs) constructed from Nonribosomal Peptides Database should match
this regular expression:
^norine:NOR\d+$
The metaregistry provides mappings between the Bioregistry and other registries. There are 5 mappings to external registries for this resource with 2 unique external prefixes.

Providers are various services that resolve CURIEs to URLs. The example CURIE
None:NOR00681
is used to demonstrate the provides available for
this resource. Generation of OLS and BioPortal URLs requires additional programmatic
logic beyond string formatting.
Additional providers curated in the Bioregistry are listed here.
