BiGG is a knowledgebase of Biochemically, Genetically and Genomically structured genome-scale metabolic network reconstructions. It published genome-scale metabolic networks into a single database with a set of standardized identifiers called BiGG IDs. Genes in the BiGG models are mapped to NCBI genome annotations, and metabolites are linked to many external databases (KEGG, PubChem, and many more). This collection references individual metabolites.

Local identifiers in BiGG Metabolite should match this
regular expression:
^[a-z_A-Z0-9]+$
Compact URIs (CURIEs) constructed from BiGG Metabolite should match
this regular expression:
^bigg\.metabolite:[a-z_A-Z0-9]+$
The metaregistry provides mappings between the Bioregistry and other registries. There are 3 mappings to external registries for this resource with 1 unique external prefixes.

A provider turns a local unique identifiers from a resource into a URI. Many providers are also resolvable as URLs (i.e., they can be used in a web browser).
The local unique identifier 12dgr161
is used to demonstrate the providers
available for BiGG Metabolite. A guide for curating additional providers can be found
here.
