A curated database of 5' and 3' untranslated sequences of eukaryotic mRNAs. In the current update, the UTR entries are organized in a gene-centric structure to better visualize and retrieve 5' and 3'UTR variants generated by alternative initiation and termination of transcription and alternative splicing. Experimentally validated miRNA targets and conserved sequence elements are also annotated. The integration of UTRdb with genomic data has allowed the implementation of an efficient annotation system and a powerful retrieval resource for the selection and extraction of specific UTR subsets.

Local identifiers in UTRdb should match this
regular expression:
^([3-5][A-Z])\w+[^A-Z][0-9]$
Compact URIs (CURIEs) constructed from UTRdb should match
this regular expression:
^utrdb:([3-5][A-Z])\w+[^A-Z][0-9]$
The metaregistry provides mappings between the Bioregistry and other registries. There are 2 mappings to external registries for this resource with 2 unique external prefixes.

A provider turns a local unique identifiers from a resource into a URI. Many providers are also resolvable as URLs (i.e., they can be used in a web browser).
The local unique identifier 5UTR_107_ENST00000517291.2
is used to demonstrate the providers
available for UTRdb. A guide for curating additional providers can be found
here.
