This vocabulary defines education levels for pre-kindergarten through grade 12 for the United States. It also defines general categories for post-secondary education (vocational, professional and life-long learning).

A provider turns a local unique identifiers from a resource into a URI. Many providers are also resolvable as URLs (i.e., they can be used in a web browser).
The local unique identifier Pre-K is used to demonstrate the providers
available for U.S. Education Level Vocabulary. Some providers may use a different example, which is displayed in the table below.
