BlastRules (identifiers starting with the “NBR” prefix) are a type of evidence for functional classification of proteins based on BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool). A BlastRule consists of one or more 'model' proteins with known biological function, and BLAST identity and coverage cutoffs. Any protein aligning to a model protein above the cutoffs is considered a BlastRule hit. [from homepage]

Pattern for Local Unique Identifiers

Local identifiers in BlastRule should match this regular expression:
^NBR\d+$

Example Local Unique Identifier

Pattern for CURIES

Compact URIs (CURIEs) constructed from BlastRule should match this regular expression:
^blastrule:NBR\d+$

Example CURIE

Providers

A provider turns a local unique identifiers from a resource into a URI. Many providers are also resolvable as URLs (i.e., they can be used in a web browser).

The local unique identifier NBR016799 is used to demonstrate the providers available for BlastRule. Some providers may use a different example, which is displayed in the table below. A guide for curating additional providers can be found here.
