Enables transcription corepressor activity. Involved in heterochromatin assembly and negative regulation of transcription, DNA-templated. Part of catalytic step 2 spliceosome and precatalytic spliceosome. Is expressed in several structures, including embryonic/larval midgut; embryonic/larval nervous system; endoderm anlage; extended germ band embryo; and germ layer.
